Eric is a licensed professional structural engineer. He said he enjoys smaller structural engineering projects as a "break" from his usual day-to-day work. He designed some structural reinforcing for a basement wall that was bowing in on one of my projects. He gave three potential solutions to the problem - the "Honda", the "Cadillac", and the "Ferrari" (I went with the Honda).
