The Market is on Court Avenue from 5th Street to Water Street. It's a street market so we don't have an "official" address. For mapping purposes the nearest address is 300 Court Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa 50309.

Interested in salvaging building materials for a good cause? If so, Habitat for Humanity needs your help! The ReStore occasionally salvages hardwood flooring, trim, doors, light fixtures, cabinets and much more from homes in the Des Moines area scheduled for demolition. These materials would otherwise be destroyed, but instead, Habitat resells them at their ReStore to raise funds that benefit Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity.
Despite their better judgment, Jennifer and Larry James fell in love with a pile of sticks shaped like a historic Victorian house. Not only did it have great "bones", but it also contained a treasure trove of historical documents relating to the prior owners. They moved the house, restored it, and have now agreed to open it up and talk about the whole process with the Des Moines Rehabbers Club!
