A workshop on the preservation of historic masonry will be held in Ames and Mount Vernon, Iowa. “Mortar Matters” will feature presentations by David Arbogast and John Speweik, two nationally-recognized authorities in historic masonry. Identical sessions will be held in Ames on Friday, March 26 and Mount Vernon on Saturday, March 27. Choose the location that works best for you.

The registration fee of $35 includes lunch, refreshments, and a resource CD. Register by Friday, March 18 to guarantee lunch and your CD!

DSMRC monthly meetings are free and open to the public! They are typically held on the first Saturday of each month from 9:30 to 11:00 in the morning. Each meeting is at a different location and covers a different topic. We welcome people of all skill levels whether you are a professional general contractor, exploring options for redoing a bathroom, or simply want to talk about renovation with other interesting people.
