After being lifted off the foundation, the actual house move took less than two hours. First the beams running through the middle of the basement were attached together and set on rollers. Two additional beams were inserted perpendicular to the house, and the house was "rolled" off the foundation into the alley, supported by the two parallel beams. Wheels were installed under the house, attached to the main beams.

The house was now on wheels!

The perpendicular beams were removed and the entire remaining assembly attached to the semi truck. The truck pushed the house back into the parking lot of the adjacent apartment building and then pulled forward next to the new foundation.

Then, the parallel beams were installed over the new foundation and the house was pushed into place.
