What a story! Erica and Greg first saw their house last April even though they weren't actively looking to buy. It was posted on the online classifieds and for "fun" they decided to look at it. They ended up falling in love with the house and closed last July. They are only the third owners of the house!

Since July 1, 2009 they have replaced all the plumbing, most of the electrical (that will get finished this year), put up a new ceiling in the living room, replaced the bathroom floor, painted EVERYTHING, installed a new furnace and added central air, pulled up the nasty old carpet on the first floor, started restoring windows, and numerous, smaller projects. They are currently replacing the back porch and working on the exterior. Future plans include tearing down the garage and building a new one, refinishing floors, remodeling the kitchen, repairing exterior stucco, repainting the exterior, getting new storm windows, and repairing the front steps.

Erica and Greg will have lots of good stories and advice based on their ongoing project.

As always, the DSMRC monthly meetings are free and open to the public! They are typically held on the first Saturday of each month from 9:30 to 11:00 in the morning. Each meeting is at a different location and covers a different topic. We welcome people of all skill levels whether you are a professional general contractor, exploring options for redoing a bathroom, or simply want to talk about renovation with other interesting people.
